Sky Eats Airplane - Nookie

This totally reminds me of elementary/middle school. I think Nookie is the best song Sky Eats Airplane could've picked to cover. Instead of completely hardcore-ifying it like all these covers we've been seeing this year, they keep the song's same personality while adding a little SEA twist to it. Definitely one of the better covers this year.

Sky Eats Airplane - Everything Perfect On The Wrong Day

If you liked the Sky Eats Airplane - S/T post a few days ago and were wondering if there was more of this electronic hardcore goodness...than look no more. This is Sky Eats Airplane's debut album, Everything Perfect On The Wrong Day. An extremely solid album, filled with all the electronic breakdowns and beats that make SEA as amazing as they are. I promise this album wont disappoint...check it out.

Sky Eats Airplane - Sky Eats Airplane

Sky Eats Airplane is a five piece that seamlessly combines two competing genres; Hardcore and Electronic. SEA manages to incorporate the two genres within each other to make music that sounds amazing. The lyrics are very well-written, heartfelt, dark, and deep. The buildups, the breakdowns, the ambiances throughout make this album one worth listening to more than once. Sky Eats Airplane is paving the way for a new sub-genre of music, and if they aren't noticed and taken seriously soon, may fade out all together. When you look past the cliches, it's an extremely talented effort from aspiring unknown musicians, just trying to make new, interesting music. I love and actively support this band, and hope they continue to break barriers and make new albums despite the initial lack of success.

I can also say, after having seen them live 4 diffrent times, that SEA manages to put on one hell of a show. The electroic ambiance really creates a brooding atmosphere that is smashed by breakdowns. SEA is great live...get out and see them if you can.

Concerts This Week

This is an amazing week for me when it comes to music. On Wednesday I have the pleasure of seeing Underoath with The Devil Wears Prada. Then on Thursday, I'm finally going to see Foxy Shazam, Sky Eats Airplane and Dance Gavin Dance. I have seen all of these bands once before, other than Dance Gavin Dance and Foxy Shazam. Foxy Shazam has been a band I've been dying to see for a few months and I'm so pumped to finally have a ticket to do so. In order to prepare any others who will be seeing any of these bands on tour....feast on this!!
