N.A.S.A. - The Spirit of Apollo (2009)

Genre: Hip-Hop
Website: Myspace
For Fans Of: Funky beats with tons and tons of guest appearances

My musical tastebuds have been goofy lately. My 3 most played albums over the past few days have been City of Caterpillar's self titled, Iron & Wine's Shephard's Dog, and this. Strange, huh? Well this is the most interesting hip hop album I have ever listened to. N.A.S.A. is made up of 2 producers, Squeak E. Clean and DJ Zegon. They make sick beats and somehow they've gotten acts like Kanye West, Karen O, RZA, Tom Waits, Spank Rock, etc. to perform over them. Sounds awkward but somehow it works.. Very well. Check it out, and have fun.

Ryan Leslie

When I think of Ryan Leslie, I think of a musical version of Russell Crowe's character in A Beautiful Mind. This man is a rapper, singer, producer and can play a whole mess of instruments. Oh, and he graduated Harvard at the age of 19. Watch him at play:

Holding Onto Hope - We Are The Beacons HD from Patrick Lawler on Vimeo.

I posted this EP a while ago and have really been enjoying it. You can purchase it at their myspace for whatever price you want. All these guys care about is getting their music out there. Anyway, here is a music video from that EP. Pretty good if you ask me.

Music Video: Killswitch Engage - Starting Over

- -

The new KsE video looks like the old KsE video and the new KsE song sounds like the old KsE song.
And I'm fine with it!

Music Video: Attack Attack! - Stick Stickly (Unreleased Version)

WHY THE FUCK ARE THERE TWO MUSIC VIDEOS
AND WHY DO THEY BOTH SUCK

I don't really understand the meaning behind making two music videos (and releasing the much, much shittier one as your 'official' video). If anyone knows why they did this, I'd love to know. This video is almost as bad as their first video, but not quite. I always though a rave scene was necessary. Is it just me or does the scream seem generally uninterested in what is going on?

Pantless Knights - Puke In My Mouth

Pretty awesome, female inspired response to The Lonely Island's hit "Jizz In My Pants"

Music Video: Attack Attack! - Stick Stickly

WHY THE FUCK DOES THIS EXIST?!

They could not make this music video could not be any worse if they tried. They did absolutely EVERYTHING wrong. This may be the most fail video of all time. What happened to all that footage they filmed before?

Music Video: Rise Against- "Hero Of War"

Hero Of War

Why can't Rise Against just write good music again? I miss the days of The Unraveling and Revolutins Per Minute. SUCH good music. Now they play this mid-tempo bullshit and they're all super vegan and politically oriented. Reminds me of how much Green Day used to be good but now sucks it mass.

Music Video: Alexisonfire - Young Cardinals

Alexisonfire - Young Cardinals

Alexisonfire's last album Crisis was fantastic. Dallas Green really seems to pull this band out of the sea of genric -core bands and make them something special. Keep a look out for their next album, due out this summer.

Music Video: Fall Out Boy- "America's Suitehearts (Mark Hoppus Remix)"

I follow Mark on Twitter and have been DYING to finally hear this, and the video is pretty neat too. Definitely a pretty rad remix, if you ask me. Check it, check it.

Blink-182 news:
Their 2009 tour is going to be supported by Weezer and Fall Out Boy with tickets ranging from 20-60 bucks. And some other bullshit was stated about them having an extravagant light show in the likes of Daft Punk and Kanye West. I just want them to play their tunes for me. (This was stated in a Rolling Stones article, you can find the clipping here)
