Year One - Demo EP + See You Again [2008]

By request, the Year One demo is now available below, as is their cover of Miley Cyrus' "See You Again." I highly recommend both, and I wouldn't be surprised if you saw the band on the next M=B Covers mix.

For those of you that missed the unsigned showcase on the band, it is a side-project of Josh Gilbert (bass/vocals for As I Lay Dying) and former Maylene & The Sons of Disaster drummer Lee Turner.

Year One - See You Again

Horray for good cover songs. Though Breathe Carolina has a decent cover of Miley Cyrus' 'See You Again' on Punk Goes Pop 2, Year One has them beat.

For those who don't know the band, Year One is the side-project of As I Lay Dying bass player/clean singer Josh Gilbert and former-Maylene & The Sons of Disaster drummer Lee Turner. More on the group itself in a later post.

This version of the song is far superior if you ask me. The YouTube video above is just the band's photo with audio, and you can hear it at their MySpace. Forgive me, I'll get this whole MediaFire thing figured out soon enough.
