For Fans Of: Explosions In The Sky, Followed By Ghosts, This Will Destroy You

Giants play post-rock in a style reminiscent of Explosions In The Sky, what with all the nice melodic intertwining guitarwork and crescendos and stuff. Well, with that in mind, why wouldn't you rather be listening to Explosions In The Sky as opposed to these guys? Because these guys, in my opinion, do that whole sound considerably better than ETIS. Or at least I think so anyway. I just love how all the songs weave in and out of one another, making use of the repetition that is a staple in post-rock but adding more layers of intricate, delicate sounds on top of each other - the melodies twist and turn beautifully, soaring and falling over each other, eventually reaching the (yeah, you guessed it) climaxes. Fairly predictable post-rock affair, but what does that really matter when it's all so pretty.
