Dooooooooomridersssss. Darkness Comes Alive is the sophomore release from this Boston fourpiece and features members of Converge and Cave In (the bassist and drummer respectively). I'm fairly sure this is reason enough to at the very least check them out, am I correct in assuming so? This album sounds a bit cleaner than their other album, at least in how the guitars are produced, although I think Kurt Ballou produced both albums anyway, so of course the production rules. And, well, yeah. As with the previous release it's obvious these guys have a lot of fun playing music, and I'd love to catch them live, I think they'd probably put on a great show. So yes, if you're in the mood for some dirty metal mixed in with your hardcore along with a whole load of huge riffs, then enjoy.
