Finch are a post-hardcore band from California. They released their debut album "What It Is To Burn" in 2002 and it is considered by some fans to be one of the best post hardcore albums released alongside "Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence" etc. The band then released "Say Hello To Sunshine" in 2007.
The album signals a major change in the band's sound; they have moved away from focusing solely on the simple, angsty, post hardcore stylings of WIITB and have incorporated an alternative and almost progressive side to their songwriting. The album contains some very catchy riffs and melodies as well as some interesting and varied lyrical content by vocalist Nate. It was also the last album the band produced before they went on hiatus.
The album was a dividing point for fans of the band, but really it rules (and is better than WIITB) and anyone who didn't/doesn't like it is a big stupid doo doo head.
Download.
--The band reformed from their hiatus in 2007 and are working on a full length which is due to be released later this year. It will probably rule.--
