Just shortly after releasing their comeback full-length OX veteran metalcore band Coalesce decided to release another short little EP. Also called OX. Are you confused? Me too. According to the band this isn't a collection of songs that were left off the full-length but an actual release in its own right. Well they would say that, wouldn't they? In all fairness though, the stuff on this is at the same caliber as the stuff on the full-length, so props to them. As far as sound goes it's Coalesce's signature groovy, noisy metalcore style with the odd pretty softer track thrown in. I have to say I really enjoy the softer tracks, possibly more so than the heavy tracks, they're done really well. Or at least I think so. Regardless, if you liked the full-length they released earlier this year then you're bound to like this too, so hit it up.
