Oh man, this album is some of the most honest and sincere hardcore I have ever heard in my whole life. I mean maybe it's just me but this band is incredible. Combining Melodic Hardcore and Metal with some fierce vocals and some really awesome lyrics. Tales put all their heart and soul into making music, that you can hear every ounce of their energy on each of these tracks. This Could Tear Us Apart opens the album with "Your Word Was All You Had Left" which is basically an intro track. It starts with a little ambience eventually leading into a hard as fuck breakdown with the lyrics "I'll take this step To put the past behind me This is where I start over I can begin again." Right then and their you know exactly this is some hardcore with heart.
I seriously haven't heard lyrics this deep in a long time. In the song "We've Lost Everything" the band mixes some clean vocals into some of the parts. Along with the guitar hitting some sweeps around the halfway mark before batting us over the head with a ferocious breakdown. Eventually the clean vocals surface again with the vocalist singing "Victory, why do you fall away from me? Victory, why have you fallen away (Why have you fallen away from me)."
The song is amazing! Another standout track and my favorite on the album is "A Million Voices."
One word EPIC! The song has some of the most amazing Gang Vocals I have ever heard. When the vocalist sings "Teach Me To Fly, I Scream With My Heart To The Sky" one can feel the energy pouring out from his heart. Every time I listen to this song it brings tears to my eyes. This my friends is powerful music. All of the songs on this album are equally amazing. One just has to give this a listen. These guys are the future of hardcore.
