Taken are probably one of the most overlooked hardcore bands I can think of, which happens to be a real shame since they really were so damn good. Between Two Unseens is the band's final farewell EP, and probably the best release of their career. Instrumentally Taken really remind me of Hopesfall, with melodic intertwining guitarwork and beautiful harmonizing melodies and intros that segue into driving rhythms and intense riffs, instantly transitioning from softer harmonies to fierce aggression. Really, the instrumentation on this is phenomenal from the guitarwork to the bass (it's actually audible!) and the vocalist's emotional screams and roars are great too, even if they're not quite up to par with the instrumentation. I can't help but wonder where they could have gone after this, seriously awesome stuff.
