While that may not mean much to any of you, it actually means a lot to me. These guys weren't along for long enough to get the pop-punk credit they deserve. Their only full length, Euphoria, was released in 2006, and had one of the catchiest songs on it that I've ever heard, "This Letter Bomb". It has catchy and witty lyrics, and a pop punk guitar line to kill it all. These guys all went their separate ways because they were just trying to start their real lives, so this new EP is going to be something I pick up and obsess over because they were a big part of me during high school. The EP was produced by Ace Enders and will also include some extra demo, live and cover song goodies along with 5 brand new tracks from the boys. Ace had this to say:
"I liked them a lot because they weren't into sticking to just one thing or type of music," said Enders of Echo Screen in a recent interview with The Aquarian. "They're all about making what feels right and what they're into and what's going to be best for the songs. I like when bands have an open mind and aren't worried about trends".
The EP will be entitled Goodbye Old Life and will be released on their own record label, ES Music.
