Discography - Blind Guardian

Epic metal at its finest, Blind Guardian, is the epitome of a 'Fantasy Metal' band. Their songs are filled with farieys, trolls, ors, goblins, wizards and everything in between. Blind Guardian is known for being heavily influenced by the works of JRR Tolkien; acctually writing an entire album (Nightfall in Middle Earth) off of Tolkiens The Silmarilliaon. If you aren't one to handle fantasey lyrics, Blind Gardian are also stellar musicians. Awesome metal drums and amazing guitar work. A friend and I often describe Blind Guardian as having a rythem guitar and a 'talking' guitar, becuase, in their later works, Andre Olbrich pretty much plays a solo the entire song. Speaking of solo's Blind Guardian is filled with some pretty awesome ones. Now, BG has been around forever, releasing their first album in 1988, so their is a pretty big change from then till now. They have done a great job fitting with the times. They sound like 80's metal in the 80's and modern metal today. If you have never listened to Blind Guardian, and I have somehow managed to get you atleast a bit interested, I would strongly suggest you check out Night at the Opera and Nightfall in Middle Earth; which are my two favorite albums by far. Aside from that, here is a complete studio discography for Blind Guardian.
