Dance Gavin Dance - Dance Gavin Dance

If you were a fan of Dance Gavin Dance and were devastated when Johnny Craig left to join the band Emerosa, relax and go listen to them...all they are, is DGD 2.0. Emerosa put out an amzingly promising EP, This Is Your Way Out, pick of Craig and released a new record that should sell under the name Dance Gavin Dance...becuase that's what they are. I'm one of the few people who actually like this album from Dance Gavin Dance with new frontman, Kurt Travis, better than their old stuff. Travis' voice really compliments the intrumentals and pace much more than Craig was ever able to do. To elaborate, the first two DGD albums featured a few guys playing instruments with Johnny Craig singing...this new CD features a band...and a very promising one in that. Although I just read that Johnathan Mess (screaming vocals) and Eric Lodge (bass) have also both left the band...not sure how this would pan out of them in the future but Dance Gavin Dance's S/T is a hard, strong, complex album and definitly worth more than one listen...check it out.
