For Fans Of: Passion Pit, MGMT, The Postal Service
I don't like MGMT much. Come to think of it, I don't even like Passion Pit that much (or at all) - and while Miike Snow's eponymous debut reeks of the same electro-indie stylings as both artists, Miike Snow is actually really good. The album is produced flawlessly and its premise doesn't wear thin. Best yet, the hooks are obvious and catchy-as-hell while still maintaining a distinct depth that is completely unique to Miike Snow's brand of pop. Forget your bad history with "electronica indie pop" or whatever you want to classify this as - Miike Snow seriously rules.
Also, I'm new around here as well. I like Elliot Smith too, if you care.
