Despite the satirical name, Margot and the Nuclear So and So's are capable of crafting very beautiful music. Last year, the outfit released two sophomore efforts: "Animal!" and "Not Animal!". The former - and the album that features here - comprises of the songs that the band felt should make the record, as opposed to what the label deemed appropriete. The music itself is a relaxing slab of indie-rock bliss; simplistic in nature and eclectic in terms of instrumentation, it sweeps you up and takes you away with an interesting, varied and excellently produced listen.

The band's third record is currently slated for a release in early 2010.
