Comadre are an intense punky screamo band, taking more than a hefty deal of influence from the likes of more modern hardcore bands. Sure, they play screamo, but as opposed to a lot of the bands in the genre they don't really take themselves all that seriously such as some of their more melodic counterparts in the european scene. On Burn Your Bones the band relies more on being fast and aggressive with dissonant guitars and barely intelligible screams amidst a hail of voice clips they pull off throughout the album. Sounds like your regular screamo/hardcore affair, which in a way it is, except there's something about this that is just catchy as balls. Seriously, the tracks are so bouncy and exciting, I don't know, there's just something that catches a youthful energy to it. It makes me really want to see these guys live because I can just tell they'd put on an awesome live show.
