For Fans Of: Ben Gibbard
This self-titled release by vocalist Ben Gibbard (Death Cab For Cutie) for his side project All-Time Quarterback is one of my favorites of all time. This may be the only thing they put out, not including the Envelope Sessions, but it takes the cake for anything Ben Gibbard has ever done. Yes, I'm willing to throw my opinions out there and say that Death Cab can't hold its own in contrast to this, but hey that's just little ol' me. Every song is perfect, and will have you listening until the very end. If you skip any songs, you are a jerk. But seriously, the mixture of various instruments (i.e. pianos, violins, keyboard, xylophone, guitar) make this such a unique album. Notable songs include all of them, and key points are found from beginning to end. Enough said, get your Gibbard on. Oh, I almost forgot!
All the summer days, that we used to play, walking hand in hand, castles in the sand. So you said goodnight, but you meant goodbye, now our love has died, this is why I cry. CRYYYYYY. He won't stop crying without you. Listen now!
