Achilles are a mathcore/screamo band from Rochester who invoke memories of Botch and similar technical metalcore bands. The Dark Horse is the band's debut album and it fucking rules. The album is a mixture of dissonant riffs, grooves and the odd clean guitar passages topped with throat shredding screams. All of the different elements are well composed and prevent the album from sounding too disjointed, providing an interesting listen.

Bottom line: This definitely is in another league to a similarly named album...*cough*Nickelback*cough*...need I say anymore?
