Single State of Man are a really post-rocky screamo band. Like, pretty damn post-rocky. In the best way possible. They're also really, really good. As you can probably tell, I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff. But really, this has a different vibe to a lot of the other post-rock/screamo stuff. At times it even actually sounds pretty happy, almost upbeat, not to mention the instrumentation is sweet. I love the guitarwork, it's all intertwiny and stuff. Also don't be put off by the 'screamo' tag (wait, why on earth would you be put off by the screamo tag?) since there really isn't all that much screaming here, it's mostly instrumental. It's great. I don't even know why I'm trying to sell this to you, I mean I obviously thought this was good enough to waste precious minutes of my life writing about it, so it's definitely good enough to warrant your time in listening to it. Right? Right.
