Between The Buried and Me is a 5-piece 'Technical Death Metal' band (if you can call it that) from North Carolina. I've always heard good things about them, and actually saw them open for a show I was at years ago. With their recent release of Colors as a live DVD, I decided to check them out again ...and I was amazed at what I found. BTBaM is, in the simplest sense, a much heavier version of Protest The Hero. Colors is extremely technical, with 8 tracks spanning a 64 minute epic, including elements of polka, jazz, folk and middle eastern music. If you give this album a chance I know you will not only enjoy it, but it will become one of your favorite ablums to date. Check, Try, Buy!!!!
